Family History of Coronary Heart Disease
Family history of coronary heart disease is defined as Angina, Myocardial Infarction, or Myocardial Revascularisation such as coronary artery stenting or coronary artery bypass surgery in a male family member younger than 55 years and In a female family member younger than 65 years.
High Cholesterol
In asymptomatic individuals LDL > 4.0 mmol/l, triglycerides > 2.0 mmol/l, total cholesterol > 5.5 mmol/l, for asymptomatic patients with coronary artery disease LDL > 2.5 mmol/l, for patients with established coronary heart disease LDL > 1.8 mmol/l, total cholesterol > 4.0 mmol/l .
High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)
Any prior blood pressure reading greater than 135/85 mm hg.
