About Me: General Cardiologist and Echocardiologist

I studied Medicine at James Cook University in Townsville graduating in 2010. I then completed my cardiology training at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, home to one of Australia’s largest and most advanced echocardiography laboratories. I subsequently undertook two advanced fellowships in echocardiography, developing expertise in complex imaging, including structural and stress echocardiography.

I hold a Master of Medicine in Perioperative Medicine where I manage patients preoperatively, intraoperatively and postoperatively. My procedural work is based at National Capital Private Hospital, where I perform transoesophageal echocardiography, including structural TOE, and interventional echocardiography.

In private practice, I consult in Deakin and Gungahlin, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care across coronary artery disease, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and preventive cardiology. My approach emphasises patient-centred, evidence-based care. I have an interest in primary prevention of cardiovascular disease and Women’s Health.

I am actively involved in medical education as a supervisor for Basic Physician Trainees at Canberra Hospital and contribute to the training of Advanced Cardiology Trainees in echocardiography. I have a particular interest in echocardiography education and advancing imaging standards within cardiology.

In addition to my clinical and teaching roles, I contribute to hospital leadership and multidisciplinary care as Chair of Canberra Hospital Grand Rounds and Chair of the Infective Endocarditis Multidisciplinary Team Meeting, working closely with infectious diseases specialists, cardiologists, and cardiac surgeons to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.

I am committed to integrating high-quality imaging, collaborative practice, and clinical excellence to improve cardiovascular outcomes.
